    Weinlein: Josaphat W., hervorragender ärztlicher Praktiker des 17. Jahrhunderts, geboren am 30. December 1601 zu Hall in Schwaben als Sohn eines Apothekers, erhielt die ersten Unterweisungen in der Medicin und Chemie von seinem Vater, studirte in Tübingen und erlangte dort im Mai 1622 die medicinische Doctorwürde, wurde 1623 Stadtarzt in Crailsheim in Franken, 1627 in Rothenburg a. T., und starb hier als erster Physicus (seit 1631) am 25. Februar 1662. Ueber schriftstellerische Leistungen Weinlein's berichtet die unten genannte Quelle nichts. Ein Sohn Weinlein's, Johann Christoph W., war gleichfalls Dr. med. und Arzt.
