Tochter des Professors für Psychologie Wilhelm Wundt (1832-1920) ; nach dem Tode des Vaters in Großbothen bei Grimma verwaltete sie seinen dortigen Nachlass als Wundt-Archiv und baute ihn durch hinzugewonnene Briefe noch aus ; sie war von 1927 bis 1947 am Institut für Psychologie in Leipzig angestellt und hat wahrscheinlich in dieser Zeit die vorhandenen Abschriften von Wundt-Briefen angefertigt. Das Großbothener Wundt- Archiv wurde von den beiden Geschwistern und Erben ; Max und Eleonore ; im Dezember 1947 der Universität Leipzig geschenkt. Der übrige (also bis dahin von dem nach Leipzig gewanderten Wundt- Nachlass getrennte) Nachlass von Eleonore Wundt gelangte nach deren Tod als Stiftung Max Wundts im April 1957 an die Universität Leipzig und wurde auf die Bücherei des Psychologischen Instituts und das ihm angegliederte Wundt- Archiv verteilt und mit dem Stempel "Wundt-Stiftung 1957" versehen.
