Biographical Presentation
Carpzov: August Benedict C., Jurist, Sohn des Professors der Theologie Johann Benedict C. (I.) zu Leipzig, Enkel Benedict Carpzov's I., geb. am 2. November 1644. Studirte zu Leipzig und Jena, promovirte zu Leipzig 1667. Zwei Jahre darauf dort Professor der Titel de Verborum Significatione und de Regulis Iuris. Später auch Assessor in der Juristenfacultät, Syndicus der Universität, Beisitzer im Consistorium und im Oberhofgericht. Endlich zweiter Professor in der Juristenfacultät und Domherr zu Merseburg. Starb am 4. März 1708. Schrieb viele Dissertationen und andere Gelegenheitsschriften, wovon ein Verzeichniß gibt Jugler, Beiträge I. S. 315 ff.
