Biographical Presentation
Die Familie war im Südostharz und in der östlich und nördlich anschließenden Landschaft beheimatet. Seit etwa 1100 unter dem Namen H. nachweisbar, starb die Familie gegen 1400 aus. Versippt mit den führenden Familien der Gegend, konnte das Geschlecht selbst jedoch keine führende Stellung erringen. Es gelang ihm nicht, ein Territorium zu bilden, sein Besitz scheint sich ständig geändert zu haben. Erwähnung verdient →Elisabeth († 1374/75), Äbtissin von Quedlinburg (wohl seit 1368).
