In dieser Position hatte er die blutige Niederschlagung von Demonstrationen im Zuge des Kapp-Putsches in Leipzig mit 40 Toten zu verantworten ("Leipziger Blutsonntag") ; zahlreiche Orden ; u.a. Militär-St.-Heinrichs-Orden
