Felicitas von Selmnitz war mit Wolf von Selmnitz verheiratet und wurde 1519 Witwe. Als verfolgte Protestantin flieht sie 1528 nach Wittenberg und nimmt an Luthers Tischrunden teil. 1547 kehrt sie mit ihrem Sohn Georg nach Halle zurück. Sie ist auf einem Epitaph auf dem Hallischen Stadtgottesacker dargestellt
