Biographical Presentation
Meermann: Gerhard M., geb. am 6. December 1722 zu Leyden, 1740 Advokat, 1748 Syndikus zu Rotterdam, † zu Aachen am 15. December 1771. Er hatte auf vielen und langen Reisen mit fast allen bedeutenden Männern Bekannntschaften angeknüpft und erwarb sich ein Verdienst durch Herausgabe des eine Anzahl von Schriften zuerst veröffentlichenden „Novus thesaurus juris civilis et canonici, continens varia et rarissima optimorum interpretum, imprimis Hispanorum et Gallorum opera, tam edita antehac, quam inedita“ cet. Hagae Comitum 1751—1753. 7 voll. fol.
