    Dem preußischen Zweig gehört der preußische General →Philipp (1804–77) an, der sich in den Kriegen 1864 und 1866 auszeichnete; der österreichischen Linie der Professor für Zivilprozeß-, Handels- und →Wechselrecht Raban (1845–1911) in Graz. - Das Geschlecht ist eines Stammes mit den Rabe von Pappenheim.
