    Busch: Gabriel Christoph Benjamin B., geb. 28. October 1759 in Arnstadt, seit 1793 Pfarrer, seit 1806 Superintendent und fürstlich schwarzburgischer Kirchen- und Consistorialrath zu Arnstadt, † 18. März 1823 ebenda. Als Geistlicher wirkte er durch Besorgung eines neuen Gesangbuchs (1818) und Herausgabe einer Agende für evangelische Kirchen (1820). Noch mehr aber wurde er bekannt durch sein „Handbuch der Erfindungen in alphabetischer Ordnung“ (8 Bände. 1790—98. 4. Aufl. 12 Bde. 1805—22) und den „Almanach der Fortschritte, neuesten Erfindungen etc.“ (16 Jahrgänge und 2 Registerbände 1797—1812).
