Biography
Rude: Johann Jacob R., geboren zu Regensburg 1589 oder 1590, Rector in Schwandorf und seit 1612 Diaconus, später Senior an der Lorenzer Kirche zu Nürnberg, † am 18. März 1654. Aus seiner Apotheca Animae haben zwei Kirchenlieder weitere Verbreitung gefunden: „Ach! wann soll es denn geschehen“ und „Herr Christ, mein Leben und mein Trost“.
