  • Biographical Presentation

    Götz: Paul G., war Buchdrucker zu Straßburg, wo er von 1514—30 erscheint. Für sein erstes gedrucktes Buch gilt: „Formulare vnd teutsch Rhetorica. Am Ende: hat gedruckt der fürsichtig Paulus Götz zu Straßburg vnd geendt vff|Freytag nach Sant-Bartholomaeus tag Anno MDXIIII.“ Fol. Der Verfasser dieses Formularbuches war Heinrich Geißler von Freiburg; es gibt übrigens von diesem Buche schon ältere Ausgaben (1493 u. 1511). Ueber sein Leben ist uns nichts bekannt geworden. Die Bücher, welche seinen Namen tragen, sind selten, er scheint keine sehr ausgedehnte Thätigkeit gehabt zu haben.
