    Reimann: Johann Balthasar R., geboren am 14. Juni 1702 zu Breslau, wurde nach tüchtiger Ausbildung seiner Stimme Hauptchoralist in der Neustadt zu Breslau und hernach zu St. Mariä Magdalenä, darauf Unterorganist an der letztgenannten Kirche und seit etwa 1730 Organist in Hirschberg. Sein Todesjahr wird nicht genannt. Er gab 1747 zu Hirschberg ein Choralbuch unter dem Titel: „Sammlung alter und neuer Melodien evangelischer Lieder“ heraus; von den 362 Melodien der Sammlung hat er 118 selbst componirt; diese werden nach Döring's Angabe aus dem Jahre 1865 zum Theil noch in Schlesien gesungen.
