Biographical Presentation
Lasius: Christoph L., lutherischer Theolog, geb. zu Straßburg, † zu Senftenberg 1572. Er studirte in Straßburg und Wittenberg; von Melanchthon 1531 an Bucer empfohlen, widmete er seine Thätigkeit als Prediger und Schriftsteller ganz dem Kampfe gegen Flacius, was ihm ein unstätes Leben und öftere Absetzungen eintrug. Er war Rector in Görlitz (1537—43), Pfarrer zu Greußen im Schwarzburgischen (1543—45), Pfarrer in Spandau, Superintendent in Lauingen, lebte dann eine Zeit lang in Augsburg und wurde schließlich Superintendent in Cottbus. Unter seinen Schriften nennen wir: „Güldenes Kleinod“ (Nürnberg 1550); „Fundament wahrer Bekehrung wider die flacianische Klotzbuße“ (Frankfurt a. O. 1568); „Grundfeste der reinen evangelischen Wahrheit, verfasset mit wichtigen Ursachen des verworfenen Papstthums und aller abgelegten Greuel“ (Wittenberg 1568).
