    Borwin I. Heinrich, Fürst von Mecklenburg 1181, von Wenden 1197, † 28. Jan. 1227, Sohn des Fürsten Pribislav, gründete die Städte Rostock 24. Juni 1218 u. a. und erweiterte die Klöster des Landes. Gemahlinnen: 1) 1171 (?) Mechthild, Herzog Heinrichs des Löwen von Sachsen Tochter; 2) Adelheid, genannt 1219. 1222. — Auch sein Sohn Borwin II. Heinrich, Fürst von Rostock (Werle), † 4. Juni 1226, förderte die Gründung von Städten (Güstrow 1222 u. a.). Gemahlinnen: 1) Sophia, vielleicht Tochter des Königs Karl von Schweden; 2) Christine, † nach 1226.
