Biographical Presentation
A. leitete ab 1771 allein das väterliche Geschäft. Nach seinem Tode ging es auf seinen Adoptivsohn über. Aus seinem Verlage gingen bis zu seinem Tode jährlich durchschnittlich 16 bis 17 Werke hervor. Die Theologie war fast ganz verschwunden, die Rechtswissenschaft an die erste Stelle gerückt. Die “A.ische Buchdruckerei und Buchhandlung“ bestand als solche noch bis 1892. Sie wird heute noch als „August Weisbrod Nachf.“ weitergeführt.
