    Törring: Christof T. (im Nekrologium Döring). Er war geboren zu Brandenburg, die Zeit ist nicht bekannt, legte am 2. September 1630 im Benedictinerstift Göttweig das feierliche Ordensgelübde ab, studirte zuerst in Köln, dann in Bologna die Rechte, wurde hier am 10. Mai 1636 zum Doctor jur. utr. promovirt, wurde im selben Jahre Professor des kanonischen Rechts in Salzburg, lehrte daselbst auch Theologie und Mathematik, kehrte 1642 nach Göttweig zurück, wo er am 10. November 1643 starb. Seine Schriften über kanonisches Recht sind angegeben in der Hist. univ. Salisb. p. 319; — bei Kobolt, Gel. Lex., S. 695; — in meiner Gesch. III, 143. — Die biogr. Daten aus Necrologium Gottwicense durch gütige Mittheilungen des Bibliothekars P. Carlmann v. Schilling.
