Biographical Presentation
Agricola: Georg Andreas A. war Dr. med. und Arzt in Regensburg, geb. das. 1672, † 1738. Er behauptete, eine vegetabilische Mumie und darin ein Mittel gefunden zu haben, in kürzester Frist Bäume wachsen zu lassen: in einer Stunde solle die Mumie mit Feuer 60 Bäume zu Wege bringen. Was er wirklich wußte, waren nur allerlei Kunstgriffe beim Pfropfen, Zertheilen der Wurzeln etc. Doch gelang es ihm mit seinen angeblichen Künsten und den Schriften darüber viel Geld zu erschwindeln. — (Vgl.
