  • Biographical Presentation

    Fibig: Gottfried F., Jurist, geb. am 13. October 1612 zu Breslau, studirte seit 1630 zu Leipzig Philosophie und Jurisprudenz, setzte seine Studien in Jena fort, promovirte daselbst 1636 zum Doctor der Rechte, trat 1636 unter die Zahl der Hofgerichtsadvocaten, wurde 1640 als professor iuris angenommen. 1642 mit Katharina geb. Hofmann verheirathet, erfreute er sich der Geburt einer Tochter und eines Sohnes, bekleidete 1645—46 das Rectorat und starb am 23. Mai 1646 im Alter von 34 Jahren. Unter seinen Schriften hat nachmals großen Ruhm erworben die „Processus delineatio stylo nostrorum temporum accomodata“, Lips. 1658 (?), 1659 und öfter. 1691 hat der Leipziger Rechtslehrer Bartholom. Leonhard Schwendendörffer den „Processus Fibigianus“ mit Anmerkungen und sonstigen Zuthaten versehen neu herausgegeben, ein Buch, welches seiner Zeit hohes Ansehen genoß und 1740 noch eine Ueberarbeitung durch den bekannten Polygraphen Johann Hieronymus Hermann erfuhr.
