    Reiffenstuell: Ignaz R., Jesuit, geboren zu Lilienfeld in Niederösterreich am 15. October 1664, † zu Wien am 28. Februar 1720, wurde 1681 in den Orden aufgenommen, promovirte nach vollendeten Studien in der Philosophie und Theologie und lehrte dann beide Disciplinen an der kaiserlichen Wiener Universität. Ob seiner vortrefflichen Rednergabe wurde er um 1704 vom Lehramte abberufen und als Prediger verwendet und zwar zuerst an der Hofkirche zu Graz, dann an der Collegiumskirche in Wien und zuletzt an der Metropolitankirche bei St. Stephan, wo er bis zum Ende seines Lebens die Kanzel zierte. Seine Werke sind: „Ephemerides Leopoldinae seu facta Leopoldi I. imp. memorabilia in singulos anni dies distributa." Semestre I. et II. Viennae 1700 et 1701. 2 vol. 12°. „Cosmus in Microcosmo, seu mundus opere sex dierum creatus, in homine velut microcosmo consummatus, partim scholastice partim ethice dilucidatus." Viennae 1701. 4°. „Germania Austriaca seu topographia omnium Germaniae provinciarum aug. domui Austriacae haereditario jure subjectarum." Viennae 1701. Fol. „Theses Aristotelicae ex universa logica antithesibus logicis ... illustratae.“ Viennae 1703. 4t. „Vienna gloriosa seu descriptio toto orbe celeberrimae caesareae nec non archiducalis residentiae.“ Viennae 1703. Fol. Dasselbe Deutsch 1713. 8°. Außerdem gab er auch in deutscher Sprache Fastenpredigten und eine Reihe von Gelegenheitsreden heraus, unter denen die Trauerreden auf den Tod der Kaiser Leopold I. und Joseph I. besonders bemerkenswerth sind.
