Biographical Presentation
Jacobi: Adam Christoph J., Rechtsgelehrter, geb. am 7. November 1638 zu Gundorf bei Merseburg, aus einer Predigerfamlie, studirte in Leipzig und ging als Stadtschreiber nach Dresden. Im J. 1666 wurde er Rathsherr. 1668 Armenadvokat bei dem Appellationsgericht und promovirte 1671 in Wittenberg als Doctor juris. Nachdem er kurze Zeit Assessor im Oberconsistorium gewesen, 1673 zum Appellationsrath und 1677 zum Stadtsyndikus in Dresden ernannt worden war, verstarb er plötzlich bei der Hochzeit eines seiner Söhne am 14. November 1689. — Man rühmt sein großes Gedächtniß, sein scharfes Urtheil und sein Geschick in Erledigung der ihm von Kurfürst Johann Georg III. übertragenen Staatsgeschäfte.
